1. Who is responsible
UnlockTheDeal is run by innoRize Enterprises Private Limited, D.No.17-1-389/18-B, 4th Floor, Prashanth Nagar Colony, Saidabad, Hyderabad 500059, India. For the personal data described here we decide why and how it is used, so we are the “data fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“the Act”). Contact and grievance officer: Lohith Reddy M, Director, info@unlockthedeal.com.
2. What we collect
- Your account: name, work email, your firm and role, and the version of these documents you accepted and when. If you use a password we store only a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft we receive your name and email from them, and nothing else (no contacts, calendar or files).
- What you do in the service: which leads you open, mark contacted or dismiss, your feedback and notes, your market settings (cities, property types, digest time), keyword suggestions, and messages you send us. Within a firm these are shared with your colleagues.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and security and error logs. We use your IP address to limit abuse and to protect sign-in.
- Email we send you: invitations, sign-in and reset links, and your daily digest if it is switched on. We keep the delivery status.
- The news we read: the Radar feed is built from public news. Articles can name people, usually executives quoted by the publisher. We keep the article text only to extract facts, for at most 180 days. The service shows a headline, a short snippet and a link, never the whole article.
3. Why we use it
- to give you the service you were invited to use, and to keep your firm’s data separate from others;
- to sign you in, keep your account secure, prevent abuse and fix faults;
- to email you the digest and service messages (you can turn the digest off in My market);
- to understand how the pilot is used and improve it, but product analytics only if you allow it (see Cookies below);
- to meet legal duties and to handle disputes.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. AI processing
To find and read relevant news, we send the text of public news articles to AI model providers (currently Anthropic and Command Code). At this stage we do not send your account details, notes or firm settings to them. If that changes we will tell you first.
5. Who else handles your data
We use these providers to run the service. They may handle personal data on our behalf under their own terms.
- Supabase: database and sign-in, hosted in Mumbai, India.
- Hostinger: the servers that run the web application and the daily jobs.
- Resend: sending email.
- Anthropic and Command Code: reading public news articles (section 4).
- Google and Microsoft: only if you choose them to sign in. They are independent of us and have their own privacy policies.
We will add the error-monitoring and analytics providers we plan to use (Sentry and PostHog) to this list when we switch them on; analytics only with your permission. Some providers process data outside India. We do not otherwise share personal data except where the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
- Account and activity data: while your firm has an account. When a person or firm leaves we delete or anonymise their personal data on request.
- Full article text: at most 180 days. Headlines, snippets, links and the facts we extracted are kept as part of the feed.
- Invitations: they expire after 7 days.
- Backups: daily database backups roll off after 7 days and our encrypted copies after 14 days, so removed data can remain there until then.
- Security and audit records (who changed what, and when): kept for 3 years, then deleted.
7. Your rights
Under the Act you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data of yours we process, and who we share it with;
- correct or complete it, or erase it when we no longer need it;
- deal with a grievance, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act.
Write to info@unlockthedeal.com. We may need to confirm who you are first, and will reply as soon as we can and within the time the law requires. If we do not resolve a grievance you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, as the Act allows. You can withdraw consent for analytics at any time with Cookie settings below.
8. Cookies

9. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections. Each firm’s data is separated by database rules, secret keys are kept in an encrypted vault, and changes to settings, access and lead status are recorded in an audit log that cannot be edited. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Children
UnlockTheDeal is for working professionals and is not meant for anyone under 18.
11. Changes
We will publish changes here with a new date and ask you to accept a new version when it matters. Read the Terms of Service too.
